The Yorkdale La Maison Simons store will span about 118,000 square feet,
and will also feature unique artwork and architectural designs by Lemay Michaud
and Gensler. Simons will occupy the first two levels of the former Nordstrom
store, which had expansive floor plates exceeding 60,000 square feet each.
A key component to the design of the new full conversion retail store at
Yorkdale was the sun exposure featuring walls of glass including on its south-facing facade.Reliance has been
selected to complete a full conversion of the previous Nordstrom retail anchor
tenant space into the new La Maison Simons retail store here at Yorkdale. The
store will occupy the full ground and 2nd floors of the original 3 floors that
were occupied by the previous tenant. The store will also have its own parking garage with a direct access via elevator to the store for convenience. This store will be admired for its simplicity and the sunlight will be integral to the design elements within the
space.
